Who It's For

Early- and mid-career professionals who want to

  • Understand where their money actually goes each month
  • Build a realistic budget on a salary that finally feels real
  • Stop feeling anxious about money and spend on what they love, guilt-free
  • Look after themselves, and the people counting on them
  • Take risks — a move, a lease, a job change — with confidence

The Process

How it works

A budgeting app tracks what you already spent. This is a built plan for what comes next.

01

We talk.

A private conversation, about 45 minutes, covering your income, your obligations, and what you're actually working toward — the honest picture behind the numbers.

02

I build your plan.

Your cash-flow map, your budget, and your savings schedule — the key risks and trade-offs written down in plain language, built entirely around your actual numbers.

03

We walk through it.

Together, line by line, until you could explain it to someone else. You leave with a working Excel file, a plain-language summary, and both live in your private portal.

One flat fee, quoted in full after the intro call. Most engagements fall between $250 and $500, depending on complexity. For one person or a household — couples are a single engagement at the same fee. No commissions, no products, nothing sold.

Philosophy

A good plan doesn't minimize risk.
It makes the space to take compensated ones.

Financial risk is far from the only risk in our lives. A risk you choose, understand, and can afford is compensated. A good plan lets you live a happy life now while setting up a happy life ahead.

The Practice

Who you're working with

Pirie Capital is run by one person, who was in your place. He has worked in finance for three years and has been doing budgets for others since 2021. The work is practical, plain-language budgeting and cash-flow planning for people building their careers. Nothing gets treated as obvious.

Getting in Touch

Request an introduction

I take on a small number of clients, and most arrive by referral. If a client or friend sent you here, mention who. It helps. If not, write anyway. A few lines about your situation and what you're trying to sort out is plenty. One thing to know before you write is that I don't give investment advice or manage money. The work here is planning, structure, and understanding.
